$200T of economic value would be
by 2050 if every child could read.

LIFTeracy is the only Hindi EdTech tool designed to teach a fully illiterate child to pass the main internationally recognized reading standard (MPL-B) without supplemental teaching input.

Children learning together with LIFTeracy

What LIFTeracy Does

LIFTeracy is a one-on-one AI tutor that teaches children in India to read Hindi through evening WhatsApp voice message conversations. A ten minute lesson costs just four cents.

Cost per income doubling

LIFTeracy is estimated to cost $31 per income doubling at scale, beating Ambitious Impact’s funding bar of $60.

This estimate needs to be tested with a randomized control trial.

Measuring Every Child

LIFTeracy estimates student performance on national (NIPUN) and international (MPL-B) tests on a daily basis with full transparency, allowing a much larger & richer sample than current once-a-year tests with a random sample of students.

Real data. Double-click an area to drill from India down to a school, a class and a student. Names and phone numbers are masked.

Help us measure what works

Our seed funding from Ambitious Impact covers the next stage: measuring how many children keep learning and how much reading they gain per hour. Those numbers decide how far LIFTeracy can scale, and that next step is where we’d love your help. Email hello@lifteracy.ai, or sign up for updates and we’ll share the results as they come in.
